Central Brittany offers many choices. The north and south coasts are within easy reach, there are historic towns and villages to visit, bustling markets to explore, beautiful lakes and countryside to enjoy.
Staying
in inland Brittany means you have a choice of both coasts. Visit the historic
coastal town of Vannes or walk along the cliff tops of Val André.
Most towns have a weekly market and it is easy to spend an hour or so wandering among the stalls. There is a weekly evening market at Mur de Bretagne in the summer and afterwards you could enjoy a meal at the local creperie.
Pontivy is a lovely, picturesque town with narrow winding streets, many interesting shops and a variety of restaurants.
There are many walks to explore, around the lake, through ancient woodland and unspoilt countryside. You will also find numerous Neolithic standing stones throughout Brittany.
